Every year birthdays and holidays arrive, offering most of us memories of surprises, wrapped presents, warm family parties, and fun foods and desserts. But take a moment right now to reflect on the children who have never had a special holiday, perhaps living in foster care and missing traditions they may have had with their biological family.

One goal of the Timothy Tuition Program is to offer these foster children a useful and unexpected gift.

When youth are taken into foster care they are generally given a big black plastic bag to move their most private and personal possessions. Several counselors suggested that these kids could use a suitcase, a safe place to store private and personal possessions. The Timothy Tuition Program offers these children a suitcase of their very own. One foster child lost all his possessions to a foster family pet that ruined everything he had from his biological family: photos, letters, school papers, and a favorite stuffed animal, stored in his plastic  bag. Needless to say he cherished his new suitcase!

The Timothy Tuition Program wants to make every day a better day for foster children, in memory of our son who was a counselor for foster children. We have donated hundreds of suitcases to various organizations working with foster children. The River Oaks Center for Children, Sierra Families Forever, Child Advocates of Placer County, Children’s Receiving Center of Sacramento and the Elk Grove School District are just some of the organizations receiving suitcases, shoes or other essential items for foster students. There are so many more foster children who would love to have their very own suitcase and/or other needs met by our program.

Every tax deductible donation to our non-profit is used for whatever you would like to donate to these deserving children – a suitcase, shoes, books, clothes, educational help or a gift of your choosing. We personally cover all overhead expenses. 100% of  your donation goes to the children!
